God's word commands believers in Christ Jesus to grow spiritually.Growth is God's law.Spiritual growth is for the living as the dead cannot grow.You must be spiritually alive to grow spiritually.
''As new born babes,desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow there by''(1Peter 2:2).
Sinners are dead spiritually,dead to the things of God,dead to spiritual things.
''Now the works of the flesh are manifest,which are these;Adultery,fornication,uncleanness,lasciviousness,idolatry,witchcraft,hatred,variance,emulations,wrath,strife,seditions,heresies,envyings,murders,drunkenness,revellings,and such like:...''(Galatians 5:19-21)
Homosexuals and lesbians are in these category,they cannot please God.
''For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;but they that are after the Spirit,the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death:but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:for it is not subject to the law of God,neither indeed can be.
So they that are in the flesh cannot please God.''(Romans 8:5-8)
''Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:neither fornicators,nor idolaters,nor adulterers,nor effeminate,nor abusers of themselves with mankind,Nor thieves,nor covetous,nor drunkards,nor revilers,nor extortioners,shall inherit the kingdom of God.''(1Corinthians 6:9,10)A sinner can only come up alive spiritually through heart-felt repentance from sin and faith in Christ Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour.True spiritual riches and heavenly treasure comes by Jesus Christ.He alone can give a NEW BIRTH experience and salvation from sin.After this,comes an evidence of life,eternal life and a link with the God of heaven.He is not the God of the dead,but of those who have spiritual life.
In order to grow spiritually therefore,every believer must DESIRE growth more than all else.There must be thirst and hunger for spiritual growth.(Psalm 42:1,2; 63:1,2)
Also,disatisfaction with ones present spiritual attainment is of utmost important,
The WORD of God and spiritual growth cannot be seperated.''In the beginning was the Word,and the Word was with God,and the Word was God.And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,and we beheld his glory,the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,full of grace and truth.''(John 1:1,14).God's word is the means of growth made available to believers in Christ by God.
Constant study,reading,hearing and meditating on the word of God are indispensable practices for spiritual growth.To continue to grow,one must abide in Christ who is our only source of nourishment.No believer is independent of Christ.(John 15:1-5).

The Healing Covenant
The healing covenant refers to the covenant God has made with His people Israel.God revealed Himself as ''the God that healeth''(Exodus 15:26). So,healing and health belongs to the children of God.Through the healing covenant,God had made adequate provision for His children to be healed in times of sickness.
There's no sickness in heaven,so healing is for now.Healing is to the body what salvation is to the soul.Healing is therefore an integral part of God's plan of redemption.It is for life on earth.
Believers in the new testament are part of the healing covenant by reason of their faith in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Sickness is not from God.It came as a result of sin and man's rebellion against God.Sin and sickness are close pals,so are holiness and health.Healing is God's perfect will for mankind.As a good God,He is not willing that any of his children should be sick,oppressed or afflicted.Such words as healing,healeth,heal,healer,healed,healings and health occurs about one hundred and forty five times in the Bible.
However,believers receives healing by prayer and faith in Christ's healing power(James 5:13-15).Jesus is the same yesterday,today and forever(Hebrews 13:8).His power is the same even as in days of old.Believers body is the temple of God and not meant for sickness.The Spirit of God indwells the believer and as such cannot co-habit the same temple with sickness or diseases.
People of God should not seek after God only for healing for healing is just a fringe benefit.Healing should not be sought after at the expense of salvation.Healing is not an end in itself but a means to an end which is the salvation of the soul.In God's plan and package of redemption,soul salvation is the number one while every other thing follows after.It is salvation that gives eternal life not healing.Salvation is better and greater than healing.Salvation is superior to healing(John 3:14-17)

The Reality Of The Holy Spirit Baptism
The Holy Spirit baptism is refers to as the promise of the Father in the Scripture.The Holy Spirit is a distinct personality,the third Person in the Trinity.Experiencing the Holy Spirit in a baptismal measure makes the believer effective and fruitful in his christian life and ministry.
The Holy Spirit is known by different names according to the holy Bible.He is called the Spirit of Power,the Spirit of Truth,the Spirit of Love,the Spirit of God,the Spirit of Christ,the Spirit of holiness,the Spirit of grace,the Spirit of glory,the Spirit of promise,the Spirit of Life,the heavenly dynamo,sweet heavenly Dove and the Holy Ghost.
Filled with the fulness of this blessing,the gift of God to man,the feeble believer becomes dynamic,weakness is turned to strength,power and boldness now comes to stay. Here is the word of a hymn writer;
''Come holy Spirit,sweet heavenly Dove
Stay right here with us,fill us with thy love
And for this blessing we lift our heart in praise
Without a doubt we know that we have been revive
When we shall leave this place''
In the word of Jesus,
''And ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in Judea,in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth''(Acts 1:8)
